To make the point bluntly, there is NO genuine 5-IAI in the UK at the moment, nor held up in customs to the best of our knowledge.

Back in early April when 5-IAI started to become known as a potential compound of interest to lab researchers, a lot of vendors placed orders with, or at least relied on being able to source it from, one single company - a UK based importer/distributor of RCs who were advertising 5-IAI at a very attractive price.

Two months later and no 5-IAI has been delivered for various reasons given. I won't name the company in question but it is clear that the prices they quoted initially were unrealistically cheap for a compound like 5-IAI which is not as straight forward to produce as say naphyrone. (in fact most Asian labs are quoting 5-IAI at double the wholesale price of naphyrone).

This delay has given a couple of unscrupulous vendors the opportunity to cash in on researchers' eagerness to aquire this compound because they have clearly been getting rid of their less popular RCs by marketing them as 5-IAI - not only criminal under UK Trading Standards Laws, but also immoral and highly irresponsible. Reports have been made by researchers who bought "5-IAI" from these vendors, and the results they got from their own lab experiments didn't match the results found in the original Nichols studies in the early 1990s.

Fortunately, here at Buy Research Chemicals UK, we didn't feel comfortable having all our eggs in one basket (well supplier in this case) so in conjunction with one of our key partners, we engaged the services of another partner of ours, a pharmaceutical manufacture in India, the same one who is producing our superb quality MDAI (see this blog post for more info). Now that the MDAI is in prodcution, the R&D team there have been focussing their endeavors on 5-IAI.

Our first sample is arriving on or just after 15th June and if due dilligence and quality tests are successful, it will go into production and you should be able to buy 5-IAI here by the of the month. It may slip to early July, that is the nature of this business but it's worth the wait to make sure you're getting geniune and high purity product.

Lastly, on a more positive note, we did also contract a Chinese lab, who hitherto had produced very high quality research compounds that are no longer available in the UK, to produce some 5-IAI. After a month they actually came back to us and apologised, saying it was proving to be beyond their capabilities and they couldn't manufacture it. This is a refreshing tale as I'm sure there are many less honest labs who would have just sent us any product in its place, rather than admit defeat and lose an order!
